But now to the history. Immerse yourself in the period between 1700 and 1720, when two brothers, ancestors of the current owners, emigrated from the barren Lorraine region to make a new start in the warmer Alsace/Vosges region to the south. They built their two farmhouses in a picturesque Vosges valley at an altitude of around 485 metres, not far from a former castle, and lived from their work as cattle breeders and farmers. The two buildings, including the attached barns, have survived the passage of time largely unchanged. Now 300 years of family history on over 2350 m² of land are up for sale.

The farm ensemble is to be returned to one owner or can also be acquired jointly by two friendly families/several owners of one family. If you have any questions, please call me on 0163-4193536.

Description of the 1st house on the left:
Ground floor:
Entrance hall, guest WC, eat-in kitchen, bedroom, living room with tiled stove, south-facing ground terrace

First floor:
Hallway, shower room, 2-3 bedrooms (one with additional washbasin), balcony

Top floor:
2 storage rooms
Cellar with natural floor (approx. 6.5 x 3.2m) under kitchen and bedroom

Description of the ancillary areas:
In this 18th century longhouse typical of the Vosges, stables and barn were added directly to the residential wing.

The barn on the upper floor has a floor area of approx. 11.5 x 8.8 m (approx. 103 m²) and is approx. 6.30 m high. Can be converted into further living space.
The former cattle barn has a floor area of approx. 8 x 8.8 m (approx. 70 m²). The gas heating with central hot water supply is located here. The ceiling to the barn was made of concrete with steel beams and metal supports around the middle of the last century. There is also potential for expansion.
Behind the barn is the garage measuring approx. 2.5 x 8.8 metres. Behind it are stables for rabbits, chickens and other storage space.
Sunny and shady areas with views, trees and open spaces, space for play areas (e.g. trampoline, sandpit, football pitch), pool (heated, covered) etc.

These two romantic farmhouses are among the oldest houses in the village. No further development is permitted on the plot with a few fruit trees. If you wish to build a swimming pool, for example, please contact the relevant authorisation authorities beforehand!
Parts of the furnishings, with some antiques matching the style of the farmhouse, as well as various historical tools are part of the inventory.

Description of the 2nd house on the right:
Ground floor:
Entrance hall, guest WC, kitchen room, living room with wood-burning stove, open to the dining room, south-facing terrace

First floor:
Hallway, bathroom with bathtub and WC, 3 bedrooms (fireplace in the large bedroom)

Description of the ancillary areas:

Workshop/boiler room:
Directly behind the living area, accessible from there, is a workshop belonging to the current owner (open to the barn at the top) and behind it the enclosed boiler room with the gas heating.
From there it continues into the large brick-built garage with concrete ceiling, which extends over the entire depth of the house.
Wood store:
On the far right is the wood store with stairs leading up to the barn. This area could also be converted into a 2nd living unit. Access could either be via the wood store or via the existing workshop, which is currently open at the top.
